 The Cenetary Celebrations of Sri Raja Bankatlal Badruka (1905 - 1966) were held with much gaiety on 15th October 2006 at Sri Satya Sai Nigamagamam, Hyderabad. His Highness Maharaja Gajsingh II of Jodhpur was the Cheif Guest at the Celebrations, while Sri GS Singhvi, Hon'ble Chief Justice of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh was the Guest of Honour. A biography of Sri Raja Bankatlal Badruka, titled Shraddhanjali', was released on the occasion. The foundation stone for a 'Cenetary Block' was also laid by the Chief Guest in the Badruka Educational campus on 16th October 2006. When completed, the Block will further reinforce the Badruka Educational Society's commitment to the cause of serving the society through education.
 The function was attended by several eminent dignitaries from all walks of life, who recollected their association with the noble-minded philanthropist and visionary Sri Raja Bankatlal Badruka. They expressed their appreciation of his great qualities of head and heart and recounted how, with a munificient donation of Rs 2.5 lakhs in 1950, he sowed the seed of the Seth Ghasiram Gopikishan Badruka Educational Society. His vision of striving for quality education began with the setting up of the Badruka College of Commerce, which is acknowledged as one of the very best in the field in India today.
 Sri Raja Bankatlal Badruka did not live to see the blossoming of the Society to include several more educational institutions. His indelible legacy has, However, been carried forward with the same missionary zeal by his younger brother, Sri Hari Prasad Badruka, the present Honorary Secretary of the Society. |
